Description

Tan - y - Dderwen is a charming cottage for four people beautifully converted of traditional Welsh long barns. Located in a tranquil setting surrounded by rolling countryside, the property boasts character and all the comforts for the perfect countryside holiday. Close to the borders of both mid and south Wales, the cottage provide perfect 4 star accommodation and is an ideal place for exploring the dramatic Ceredigion coastline where bottlenose dolphins are often seen.

The picturesque fishing town of Aberaeron is only six miles away with its large harbour encased by pastel-shaded Georgian houses. A short drive inland leads to the rural and traditional towns of Lampeter and Tregaron, where the Welsh language is mostly used by the locals. Tregaron feels almost untouched by the 21st century and is a bastion of the Welsh language and culture.

The river running through the town centre leads to Cors Caron, a national nature reserve of peat bog which is one of the most impressive wildlife areas in Wales; home to rare marsh grasses, black adders, buzzards and even the occasional red kite.

A perfect opportunity to discover the real Wales. Shops 3 miles, a pub in village.

There is an abundance of Wildlife & Birds outside the back door of the cottages. Foxes, badgers, otters, red kites and Canadian geese have all been regularly spotted by visitors.
